24 nov.-1 dec.

Oh God, the intro to this feels like breath. like life and carrying on, cool water over healing wounds. one of my favourite bands of all time and quite possibly my favourite bossa song. i'll die and they'll have to play this. from love logic (2009 - forever). shares a name with Lemon Elegy by Kotaro Takamura. a meditative end to november.

 17-24 nov.

Sacred Hoop magazine's article on transgenderism in siberian shamanism. i'd researched indigenous siberian tribes a few months ago on a whim, so the coincidence felt meaningful when i had to research gender diversity in the Chukchi tribe for my anthropology class- leading me to this article.

 10-17 nov.

Maxfield Parrish's "The Lantern Bearers". a painting i don't completely understand, but that carries a sense of peace and goodness/rightness to me. things feel as if they are exactly as they should be.

 3-10 nov.

still taken from vvtobbi's "On Hyunjin, Labor, and Memory" piece and statement for ment magazine. a genuine and ethereal editor whose work is so evocative and meaningful to me, as well as a very interesting magazine.

 27 oct.-3 nov.

Singer's 1972 paper in support of effective altruism. i've chosen it because i'll be using it in my next 'document' piece, which should be done before the next item...

 21-27 oct.

Tsuchida Bakusen's 'Still Life - Salmon Slices and Sardines". i love this painting in and of itself, but still life is particularly meaningful to me as something domestic and transitory. Bakusen so loved the world he gave his salmon and sardines.

 13-21 oct.

another philosophy to build the foundations of seacall's ethos, one that really changed me.

 7-13 oct.

the very first weekly item... i've chosen the phrase 'oceanic feeling' since it's particularly apt for seacall's theme, and a key part of the site's ethos.
