Sacred Hoop magazine's article on transgenderism in siberian shamanism. i'd researched indigenous siberian tribes a few months ago on a whim, so the coincidence felt meaningful when i had to research gender diversity in the Chukchi tribe for my anthropology class- leading me to this article.

Maxfield Parrish's "The Lantern Bearers". a painting i don't completely understand, but that carries a sense of peace and goodness/rightness to me. things feel as if they are exactly as they should be.

Tsuchida Bakusen's 'Still Life - Salmon Slices and Sardines". i love this painting in and of itself, but still life is particularly meaningful to me as something domestic and transitory. Bakusen so loved the world he gave his salmon and sardines.
